Luminary is a fabulous social enterprise, based in London, using baking as a practical, creative, and therapeutic tool to take women on a journey toward employability and entrepreneurship. Through their tailored programs, participants learn not only how to bake but also develop transferable skills that open doors to the professional world.

From hands-on baking courses to work experience in their café, and paid employment within their bakery, Luminary is designed to holistically support women as they work toward independence and brighter futures.

Exciting news for the people of Hangleton: after making our bread available to the food bank, we are exploring options for a home delivery service for our breads and buns! The idea is simple: you place your order by Tuesday each week for delivery on Friday. Just in time for the weekend! Not WFH on Fridays? We can deliver your order to a nominated safe place.

Some great Suffolk Sourdoughs on the shelves this morning. Like all our loaves they’re named after a local Poets’ Corner road (in this case Suffolk Street only a couple of hundred yards from the Bakehouse).
